Happy Holidays!

We had a great Christmas,as usual. We spent Christmas Eve with Scott's mom and grandparents and had a great time. We had a wonderful dinner and played her Wii. Little did we know we would be getting one for Christmas! Everyone had a great time. Bowling was our favorite. Then the kids opened their presents and once again she spoiled everyone! I awoke early with hearing Kassidy say "He even drank all the milk". The kids then ran into our room to get us up. Well, all the kids must of been good this year because they got bunches of stuff. Kassidy was absolutely delighted with her new American Girl doll, Mia. Karlee loved her her bitty twins and stroller and Kaitlyn was in heaven with her new stereo for her room. They couldn't of been happier. Scott and I were also surprised to see that we got each other the same exact thing, an Ipod touch. We then spent the rest of the day relaxing and enjoying our new stuff. What a great day. I hope everyone had a wonderful day and that 2009 brings much happiness to all.

Kassidy's Ornament

Each Christmas I buy each of the girls an ornament that shows something they are interested in that year. I was particularly proud of the ornament I found for Kassidy. Kassidy loves shoes. She has probably has 20-30 pairs of sandals, flip flops, tennis shoes, heels in various colors, black dress up, brown dress up, anything you can imagine, She's has them. When she gets taken shopping by us, her dad, grandmas, grandpas or anyone she gets them to take her to the shoe section, and that's what she gets. She would prefer a pair of shoes to a toy any day. Well, I found a shoe tree ornament. The caption on the bottom of the tree says " Life's too short for sensible shoes". That's so Kassidy!

Happy 4th Birthday,Karlee

4 years ago today I became the mother of 3 girls. Now, I can't say that it has all been perfect. There has been a lot of ups and downs. But, with adding Karlee to the group it's definitely made me feel complete. Not a day goes by that she doesn't make me laugh with her sense of humor. Or, marvel at her mature questions. I have lots of mixed emotions with her turning 4. Sadness, because my baby is growing up so fast, relief because she is so independent she can tackle more on her own. But, mostly joy because I see the beautiful, smart, independent, and loving little person she is turning into. Karlee, I love you more than all the fishes in the sea and all the stars in the sky.Happy Birthday,Baby! Sorry for the pic overload below. I just loved them all.

Christmas Tree/Sidebangs/Jenifer Visits

We had a great Thanksgiving weekend. We spent the day at my dad and Jeanne's house and had fun with Chris, Jen and the kids. Plus, Dyan and her family made the trip from Missouri. Jenifer also came home from college and we had a wonderful visit with her. The girls really love her and were very excited to see her. While she was here we wanted to put up our Christmas Tree and let her open her presents. Kaitlyn talked me into letting her get "side bangs" this weekend. She's turning into a teenager quicker than I'd like. I was very hesitant to let her do this but will admit they look cute on her. We had a great couple of days and look forward to Karlee's birthday tomorrow. Can't believe she'll be 4!

We Can Breathe!

Soccer season ended yesterday with a victory...Kaitlyn's team won 5-1. And guess what...Kait scored a goal...She usually plays defense therefore never getting a chance to score. But, she subbed in for a girl on offense and took it to her advantage. The team finished the season 8-1-1, and in second place so that means they will move up to the Premier level this spring. Premier is the top level in the state.. But, for now we will be relaxing..Kassidy has decided to take a break but Miss Go Getter Kaitlyn wants to play basketball. It's not nearly the time commitment as soccer so I'm fine with it.

Karlee drew this picture of Scott on the white board today...I just love it. She used some nice detail from his hair to his glasses...How cute! My girl is getting so big.

Trick or Treat!

We had a great Halloween this year. It was one of the warmest on record and there were a ton of people out. We started off the night attending a carnival at the rec center here in town. They had a ton of games and were very generous in the prize department, the girls had a great time doing the limbo, throwing bats into pumpkins, pumpkin golfing and pin the nose on the jack o lantern. Kassidy's BFF, Gabby joined us making the night extra fun! We finished the night trick or treating through the neighborhood. A great time was had by all...The girls are already talking about next year!

Rock Creek Farms

Scott, the girls and I visited Rock Creek Farms today to pick out pumpkins. I was a little nervous because it's the last weekend before Halloween and I was afraid it would be slim pickings in the pumpkin patch. But, fortunately there were still hundreds of pumpkins left.
We had one rule going into the patch. That the girls could only pick a pumpkin they could carry out. Well, that went out the window. I think Scott and I carried all of the pumpkins to the van. Oh Well, they picked what they wanted and had fun also.

Kait's Concert

Kaitlyn had her first band concert of the year tonight and although she admitted to being nervous she did a great job. She's playing the clarinet and really seems to enjoy it. I'm so proud of my musical girl!

What better way to spend a rainy yucky day than to bake a cake! The girls and I baked a pumpkin cake. We had a really good time. It actually tasted pretty good too. They did a really good job!

Vail Valley Champions!

We are the champions! Kaitlyn's team came in 1st place out of 12 teams this past weekend at the Vail Valley Challenge Cup! The whole team worked hard the entire tournament! They played 5 games in 2 days and only allowed 1 goal while scoring an impressive 23 goals! The parents couldn't have prouder of all the girls!

Tournament Weekend!

Both Kaitlyn and Kassidy had soccer tournaments this weekend. Kassidy's was here in town and Kaitlyn's was in Vail. This made it tricky for me to be able to see their games. Luckily, Shawn was able to take Kaitlyn on Friday and be there for Saturday games and Scott, Kassidy, Karlee and I headed up after Kassidy's last game to catch the 3 Sunday games. Although Fall here in town is beautiful, it certainly cannot compare to Fall in Vail. Beautiful colors to see and crisp mountain air make a perfect match. It was fabulous
